Update from Administrator – June 1, 2021
June 1, 2021
Dear Families,
National Skilled Nursing Care Week (formerly National Nursing Home Week) was a success! Thank you to all the families who provided kind words and treats for our staff.
Moving forward our email blasts will continue monthly and/or as needed to share any important information.
Some updates for you:
Visitation
- A reminder, even outside visitations still require a mask, currently. The CDC and state continue to update their guidance for nursing homes – and we’ll keep you up to date on any changes. If you are unfamiliar with our protocols, please ask us.
- For visitation appointments, please contact the Recreation Department at 860-444-1175.
Recreation / Activities:
- The hairdresser is back on a weekly basis! She will be in our building on Wednesdays and Fridays. Attached are her new rates. Please call the receptionist if you would like to have a standing appointment for your loved one.
- We are delighted to begin once again safely holding small, socially distanced group activities. Activities include BINGO, arts and crafts, pet therapy, exercise, music, bible study, and more!
Dining:
- Following guidance from the CDC and CMS, we are again serving meals in our dining rooms, allowing for additional opportunities for socialization among our residents.
Vaccination Update
- We have said before, although not mandatory, we continue to encourage any employee who has not been vaccinated to obtain one. Currently, they may obtain one at a community clinic.
We hope you have a great week and look forward to seeing you!!
