Waterford First Selectman Proclaims National Skilled Nursing Week, Celebrates Bayview Health Care

On Monday, May 13, 2024, First Selectman Rob Brule of the Town of Waterford presented Bayview Health Care with a proclamation celebrating National Skilled Nursing Care Week from May 13 through May 18, 2024.

National Skilled Nursing Care Week honors the dedication and commitment of all healthcare workers across the skilled nursing industry and celebrates the residents who reside in the centers.

Staff and residents gathered together within Bayview’s lobby to hear the proclamation and the special recognition bestowed on the Waterford center. First Selectman Brule presented the recognition to Bayview’s Resident Council President Theresa Q, alongside the center’s Administrator, Brian Reynolds, and other staff and residents.

During the proclamation reading, First Selectman Brule said “Whereas, this week serves as a reminder of the pivotal role that skilled nursing centers – and the care and support provided here – play in contributing to the health and vitality of our greater community and fostering a culture of empathy, kindness and excellence in care.”
