Update from Administrator – April 8, 2021
April 8, 2021
Dear Resident, Family Member or Responsible Party,
Happy Spring! We hope you are taking advantage of this lovely weather and getting outside for a walk or gardening. Did you know that sunlight is important for your bones, blood cells, immune system, it increases your energy level, and creates a positive calming mood? So, please give recreation a call today so they can schedule an outdoor visit with your family!
Updates:
We continue to take all necessary precautions, including wearing personal protective equipment, additional cleaning, hand washing and sanitizing, as well as and conducting regular testing of our staff and residents. A common question we are asked when scheduling visitations is; What does “fully vaccinated” mean? GREAT question!
To clarify: a “fully vaccinated” individual is defined as one who is two weeks post receiving a complete series of their vaccination dose(s).
As we have in the past, updated and detailed CDC guidance is noted in the below link: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/hcp/infection-control-after-vaccination.html.
Miscellaneous:
- Our barber/beauty salon is open for appointments.
- A reminder to everyone that we do have various tablet devices for your loved one to utilize to access games, various communication tools, news, and more. We have done some tutoring and training of the tablets so that residents are more comfortable with them.
- The recreation department continues to have small group activities throughout the day.
- We continue to offer window visits, outdoor visits, indoor visits and visitations using our technology (iPads, tablets, calls, etc.).
Thank you and, as always, please stay safe and healthy!
