COVID-19 Update from Administrator – March 25, 2020
Dear family members with love ones at Bayview,
We would like to thank you again for your continued patience and support during this very unusual time we are all facing. We are overwhelmed with the kind emails and calls from all of you recognizing and appreciating all that our staff is doing for your loved ones. We are truly a family at Bayview! We continue to monitor and look to our state and federal governing bodies on updates for Covid-19. Below is a list of what we are currently doing in our facility:
Nursing continues to check our resident’s vitals throughout the day.
Upon entering our building each staff member completes a survey and has their temperature and O2 taken. Employees are not allowed to receive take out food, and once they leave the premises they can’t return until their next shift.
Our residents have been busy making Easter Cards for our Troops, colorful rainbows for display, and playing Bingo. Rosary continues to be held weekly. In lieu of sending care packages, would you like to send a Balloon-O-Gram to your loved one or to set up a Facetime? If so, contact the following:
Rehab and LTC residents contact recreation@bayviewhcc.com
Dementia Unit residents contact demcoord@bayviewhcc.com
We will have our first Zoom “Town Hall” meeting on Wednesday March 25th at 4 pm. This is an additional avenue of communication between Bayview Health Care and resident family members.
You can also visit our Facebook page @BayviewHealthCareWaterford to keep up to date with our center. Lastly, remember to use our “wellness check in” phone line by calling 860-444-1175.
Once again, thank you for your patience and understanding during these difficult times. Please stay safe and healthy!
~ From all of us at Bayview Health Care
